In a significant boost to AI research, Nokia and Finnish Industry Investment Ltd (Tesi) have jointly invested €100 million in NestAI. NestAI, recognized as one of Europe’s fastest-growing physical AI labs, focuses on AI development for autonomous vehicles, surveillance, logistics, and defense operations, strengthening Europe’s technological edge.
Connectivity is highlighted as a critical asset in defense, enabling AI-driven, faster, and more informed decisions. Nokia’s dedicated defense incubation business unit works with partners across the U.S., Finland, NATO, and Five Eyes countries to accelerate co-innovation of AI-native dual-use technologies crucial to modern military capabilities.
