Nvidia’s Chief Financial Officer has revealed that the chipmaker has not yet finalized its anticipated $100 billion partnership with OpenAI. The disclosure comes amid growing speculation about closer collaboration between the world’s top AI chip supplier and the creator of ChatGPT.

During a recent investor meeting, the Nvidia executive clarified that discussions regarding the large-scale AI infrastructure deal are still ongoing. “We’re exploring several frameworks to ensure long-term capacity and performance goals align with both parties,” the CFO reportedly stated.

Talks Continue Amid Soaring AI Demand

Reports earlier this year suggested that Nvidia and OpenAI were in advanced talks to co-develop an AI supercomputing hub worth up to $100 billion. The facility is expected to enhance OpenAI’s model training capabilities while further solidifying Nvidia’s dominance in the AI hardware market.

However, with AI demand skyrocketing globally, the CFO emphasized the importance of strategic decision-making. “These projects require careful planning around hardware supply, costs, and evolving AI workloads,” the executive added.

Industry analysts believe the deal, once finalized, could mark one of the largest partnerships in the AI sector’s history. For now, both companies continue to weigh technical, financial, and operational factors before moving forward.
